A year after her passing, we honored and celebrated Ada Deer, a member of the Menominee Nation and friend to many in Wisconsin’s Native communities. Ada Deer worked tirelessly for the rights of Native people as a social worker, activist, lobbyist, author, and former director of this program.
We remember her hard work and dedication, and honor her legacy and lasting impact on our program and beyond.
